Heathrow Airport Pickups and Drop-offs

There are really two sides to a Heathrow airport transfer, and each needs its own bit of planning.
Getting to Heathrow is about timing, mainly. You need to be at the right terminal with enough room to check in, get through security and still make your gate without sprinting. We take your flight number and pickup address at booking and work backwards from your departure time so you're not left cutting things fine.
Coming from Heathrow is where flight tracking earns its keep. Flights land early, they land late, sometimes they get diverted altogether, and a decent pre-booked transfer just absorbs all of that. You shouldn't have to phone anyone or scramble to rebook because your flight was twenty minutes early.
Both directions run through the same fixed-fare booking process, so you know the cost of your Heathrow airport transfer up front, not after the fact.

Booking a taxi to Heathrow isn't complicated. Pop in your pickup address, the date and time, and your terminal or airline, and you'll get a fixed price straight away. No meter ticking over, nothing added on once you get there.
It's worth booking a bit earlier than you think you'll need, especially for morning flights out of Terminal 5 or Terminal 3. Those drop-off roads get busy at peak times. Your driver will check live traffic and plan the route accordingly, so you're not stuck watching the clock.
Once you're at the terminal, your driver drops you in the designated area right by the entrance, so you're not hauling bags across a car park.

Being picked up from Heathrow works a bit differently to being dropped off, and it genuinely helps to know how it works before you land.

Heathrow doesn't let taxis or private hire cars sit and wait on the terminal forecourt for arriving passengers. That's the rule, not something we've made up. Instead, your driver tracks your flight, waits nearby, and either meets you inside the terminal with a name board (that's the meet and greet option) or picks you up from the terminal's designated pick-up point once you've got your bags. This keeps the forecourt free for quick drop-offs, and it's how things work for every pre-booked transfer at Heathrow, not just ours.

What that actually means for you:

• We're tracking your flight from take-off, so we know when you're actually landing, not just what the schedule said
• Landed early? Your driver adjusts. Delayed? We don't send anyone out too soon either
• With meet and greet, your driver's waiting in arrivals holding a board with your name on it
• Without it, we'll text you the moment your driver's in position, so you know exactly where to head
• The parking and pick-up side of things is on us. It's built into your fixed fare, not something you sort out yourself

Worth mentioning if you've flown through other airports before and expect a car to just pull up outside arrivals. That's not how Heathrow operates, and any driver telling you otherwise is probably going to end up moved on or delayed.

Four terminals, and which one you're using makes a real difference to how the transfer goes. Always give us your terminal number and flight number at booking so your driver's heading to the right place from the start.
Terminal 2 covers a broad mix of international carriers, including Star Alliance airlines. Drop-off and pick-up here follow the standard process outlined above.
Terminal 3 handles a lot of long-haul and international traffic, including several Oneworld airlines. It tends to get busy for pickups, so give yourself a bit of extra time if you're collecting someone.
Terminal 4 is used by SkyTeam and a few others, and it sits a little apart from the rest, physically. Make sure your driver has the right terminal noted, especially if your airline's recently switched terminals or you've had a flight change.
Terminal 5 belongs to British Airways and Iberia, and it's the biggest of the four by some distance. Because of its size, drop-off and pick-up points can mean a longer walk than at the other terminals, so we allow a little extra time here as standard.

Heathrow sits west of the city, and how long it takes to get into Central London really depends on the time of day and how the M4 and A4 corridor are running.
